I look at this picture and look at the little boy passing all the bodies lying on the ground...dead....motionless. I look at the boy and his eyes and it seems that he is crying and scared by seeing this bodies and wondering if he is next. His eyes are filled with shock and he seems speechless because of the things he has seen. Another idea i took from this picture was the fact that he is a little boy and i took that as a message saying look how young our soldiers are...its like a little boy seeing real life horror for the first time. All the things this kid has on literally is fully body uniform, probably boots, heavy metal helmet, a bandana covering his face, and a backpack filled with things unknown. And now that he just walked through a dirt road filled with dead bodies..he now has to live with this image and experience for the rest of his life. Being in a narrow road he seems enclosed and surrounded by death which is irony because that is what war is.
I agree that this photo shows that the boy is petrefied and saddened by the people dead around him. I wonder if he is realizing that that could be him lying next to him at any moment.
ReplyDeleteI agree that this boy must really be scared of what he's seeing. Not just dead people but the war it's self.
