These soldiers are carrying a wounded one. I think that they just fought a hard battle and in the process one of their fellow soldiers got wounded so they are helping him back to base. They must me tired with all the baggage and amo they have to carry. I think that the soldiers are all from the same group so they have grown together and bonded and they will do anything to fight for eachother and their country. They have a responsibility and they plan to keep it.

I think the soldiers realize how hard war is after getting hurt or seeing a friend get hurt.
