| I try to dress up the blog posts with images. |
Whenever we read a text in class, listen to a podcast, view a video of film, I will ask you to respond to a post like this with your thoughts and feelings about the experience.
Unbroken is the first AHS Whole School Read, a book everyone is reading over the course of this year, students and teachers alike. In fact, it is the book I am bring to read as I fly back and forth to Chicago next week.
(Usually, I use the plain font for explanation purposes.)
In your comments, respond to your reading of this "Extraordinary true story of Courage and Survival," by answering any or all of the bulleted questions:
- What is your first impression of the book?
- What do you like/dislike about reading it?
- What questions do you have so far?
- Do you know anyone who has read the book? What did they think?
- (I usually bold the part of the post that asks you to do something)
After you comment, check back now and again. I will respond to your comments and you can respond to comments left on this blog by your classmates. You may agree, disagree, ask a clarifying question or perhaps answer a question for one of us.
(I usually put in italics the ways you can extend and increase your participation).
