Theme: Don't let technology consume your life.
Quote 1: "His wife paused in the middle of the kitchen and watched the stove busy humming to itself, making supper for four."
Quote 2: "Maybe i don't have enough to do. Maybe i have time to think too much."
Quote 3: "They walked down the hall of their soundproof Happylife Home, which had cost them thirty thousand dollars installed, this house which clothed and fed and rocked them to sleep and played and sang and was good to them."
These quotes help me prove my theme. Everything this family does and uses is powered by high technology. They don't cook their own food, dress themselves, and they even have help going to sleep. The wife finally realized that without doing traditional housewife things , she had too much time on her hands.
This theme kind of makes me feel like i should take a step back and examen how much of my life is controlled by technology and how often i use technology.
