I chose the poem "Fire and Ice" by Robert Frost. I chose it because i liked the poem. It gave me the idea that people have always thought about the end of the world and that seemed interesting to me.
The poem I chose was the "The Cities Inside Us" by Alberto Rios. I chose it because it is segmented so it will probably be easy to memorize, and the overall concept of the poem is interesting.
The poem I chose to read is "Dirge in the Woods" I enjoyed the meaning of the poem and like that it had to do with nature and the environment around us.
I chose the poem "Caged Bird" by Maya Angelou. I chose this poem because we read it last year and I really liked it. Also, there is slant rhyme which helps me remember it easily.
I will be reading "The Donkey" by G.K. Chesterton because the poem is rather short and its about a donkey so its pretty entertaining.
