As we were brainstorming today, there seemed to be some interest in a project that had a visual component:
shoes, pictures of shoes, backpacks, symbols and possessions...
List any ideas for combining creative writing and images around those ideas in a way that shows how you understand Night or want to prepare someone for what they are about to read.
It would be great if the assessment had a way to combine everyone's offering into a larger display, like pieces of a mosaic....

I think an interesting assessment would be to take the idea of the shoes and write a letter or some type of writing that talks about what the shoes have seen and been through. We could also draw a picture of the shoes and give them their own personality. I think it would be fun to take the pictures of the shoes that we draw and put them on a wall as a mural.
ReplyDeleteI think the ideas of choosing items for a backpack, or the shoes. I think if we did the backpack idea we could write a poem, short story, reflective essay, etc. for each item we put in the bag. As Mikayla said, i think if we do the shoe idea we should do a creative writing that allows us to make up what the person who wore those shoes did before and during their time in the concentration camps. Both of these projects would allow us to display creativity, as well as reflect on the material to show our understanding of it.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of the backpacks the most, i like the idea of having a minimum amount of itms to pack of our choosing. But before we chose to pack what we wanted we could make a decision on if we wanted to be a part of the original Halocaust or a new modern day Halocaust. That way we could adjust to the time period of what items existed compared to then and now. After we choose and finish packing we could expalin our choices and put them in order of importance.
