  1. I am a little less than half way through the book. I think i would need like thursday and friday in class then the weekend to finsh the book if i was going to get it all done by next week. But i most likey need 2 weeks to finish it if we dont get class time. I have only 3 paragraphs in my creative writing article and it would be nice to have a day or two in class to peer edit.

  2. I'm on chapter 16 of the Help. I think I will be done by next week if we do SSR on Friday. I'm not close to finishing my poem. I agree with Lindsay that a day or two would be nice to work on our creative writings.

  3. I am only at page 200 in The Help. It would be realllllllllly helpful to get an extra day in class maybe thursday so then people have 2 classes in a row to bang out a good chunk of the novel. I anticipate finishing in the next 2 weeks.
For the writting it would also be nice to take maybe a class to work on it, I also plan on completing my poem by the end of the month.

  4. I'm not far through the book at all. Since I already saw the movie I'm getting confused trying to match up the names in the book to the characters in the movie. I don't find this book as easy to get into as a lot of other people do, so it'd be helpful to have some class time to read.

  5. I am on page 100 of the Help. I think I could finish reading the novel in two weeks or a little more. I think a few days of SSR in that time would be very helpful becasue of sports and activities after school. I am also not close to finishing my creative writing assignment. I think another week or so would be nice to work on my poem.

  6. I am roughly a third of the way through the book. I can finish it in two weeks. SSR time on Fridays is all I really need for class time. I can have my poem done around the same time as the novel, I have a rough draft and it would be helpful to have a day or two in class to peer edit, like Lindsay said.

  12. I am on page 85 of the help and i still obviously have a long way to go to finish it. I would agree with most of the other people that i could use a couple days in class and maybe a few weekends to possibly finish the book. For my creative writing i already have two poems done and am working on my third one now. I think maybe a week and a half or so to finish those.

  13. I am only on chapter 10 of "The Help." I could probably finish in 2 weeks but SSR would really help. I am in the process of editing my creative writing piece but I will be done with it by the end of the week. Maybe one day in class we could peer edit our creative writing pieces.

  14. I am almost at page 100 in "The Help". Like what Shannon said,I agree that it would be helpful if we got an extra day in class for ssr. A lot of people play sports after school and work so there isn't really enough time and this is a big book. If we got about two more weeks to finish, I think I could.

  15. I'm about a third of the way through "The Help." I would probably need until the end of next week to finifh the story. It would be good to get some class time, becuase if I did i would finish it earlier.
I've finished my rough draft for my creative writing, and all I have to do is type the final draft and fix a couple things. I will probably be finished with that by the end of this week. I could use a period to help me get further along in the process.

  16. If we have a couple SSR days in school, I will be able to finish the Help soon enough. As for the creative writing, I will probably need 1-2 weeks to finish, and class time for that would be helpful, but not necessary.

  17. I only have a few chapters left of "The Help." I think its really good and it was easy to get into for me and that why ive already read so much of it. For the creative writing im almost done with my poem but i think a couple classes would help so we could peer edit and bounce ideas off each other.

  18. I am about half way through the book but I probably need until the end of next week to finish it. For the creative writing piece, I agre with everyone else that a few days in class would nice so we would have a chance to peer edit and ask other people's opinions and bounce ideas off of each other.

  19. I am about a third through The Help, but I can probably finish it in another week or two if I increase my reading pace. A few days in class would help me with this. For the creative writing I am still making drafts and editing them, but I would appreciate class time so we could have time to peer edit and give each other feedback.

  20. I'm not too far into the book. I know I'm somewhere around 90 pages into the book, and I think that SSR days would really help me get through "The Help."

  21. I'm about 1/3 of the way through the book if not a little more. But with spring sports and all starting, some SSR time would be very helpful. If not it might take a while to finish. Same thing goes for the paper. I really don't know how long it will end up going so some free time to work on it would be perfect.

  22. I'm not that far in "The Help" so I think a couple days to read it in class and a weekend or two would helmo tremendously. I also think time to work on our writings would be helpful too because like Ryan said I don't know how long it will take me

  23. I am also a little under halfway through the book. I could probably finish it this weekend and have it done by Monday. I could probably have my creative writing done by the following Monday, so that it gives us two weekends because I have little time during the week.
