Rules for citations change all the time, so don't hesitate to check--almost no one ever memorizes them.
You know about the Purdue OWL, so use it.
Check the rules for citing any other type of information from images to websites, from interviews to reviews... you can use sources beyond the text if you need them.

ReplyDeleteCan we have more than three points in the thesis statement? Or should we limit it to just three and just add the topics later in the essay.

ReplyDeleteusually for a brief paper, 3 is about average.
If you have more, add them in. You may need more than one sentence to that. The function of the thesis is to preview the organization of the paper--make sure that you thesis does that.
This is a shorter paper--proably 3-5 pages--rather than a longer paper 8-10+ pages.
The purpose you are trying to achieve in answering the prompt is more important than the length of the paper. Ask youself, "Do I have enough support here," not " How many paragraphs is it supposed to be?"
